What is Reiki?

Reiki (Ray-Kee) is universal life force energy. It is the energy that pervades the entire universe. All living beings have access to Reiki by birth. But due to painful experiences, traumas, or hardships in life, the connection with this life force energy may be reduced. When that happens, there are more struggles in life, health, and activities.

When a person gets re-connected to this beautiful life force energy or Reiki, they start experiencing joy and fulfillment in all areas of life, including better health, wealth, beauty, finance, relationships, opportunities, and material & spiritual growth.

Is Reiki a religious system?

Reiki is universal life force energy which runs through all forms of life. It is not limited to a particular religion or region. It belongs to the entire humanity and more. Whether you are a religious person, a spiritualist, or even an atheist, Reiki accepts you and heals you unconditionally.

Who discovered Reiki?

In modern times, Reiki was re-discovered around 1922 by a Japanese Spiritualist, Healer-Physician, and Scholar Dr. Mikao Usui.

Dr. Mikao Usui was guided to search for Reiki, as he wanted to find the source of the miraculous healings performed by Lord Buddha and Jesus Christ.

After travelling and searching throughout the world, Dr. Usui finally found the essence of Reiki in two secret mantras. Dr. Usui took these mantras and meditated on them at Mount Kurama, north of Kyoto, Japan. Reiki was revealed to Dr. Mikao Usui after fasting and meditating at Mount Kurama with these mantras.

How to become a Reiki Healer?

To become a Reiki healer, you need to get Reiki initiation from a Reiki Master. It is a diksha process where the Reiki Master will attune you to Reiki. After which, you will be able to channel Reiki healing to yourself and others.

It is not possible to become a Reiki Healer just by reading about Reiki. You need to get an in-person attunement from a Reiki Master in order to become a Reiki Healer.

What can I do after becoming a Reiki Healer?

You can start by healing yourself, your body, health, and your immediate surroundings and life situations. You can also send healing to your loved ones, your parents, siblings, family and extended family & friends. You can send healing to your career, your relationships, marriage, and finances.

After becoming a Reiki channel, you will never be helpless in any given situation. You will always have Reiki to help you overcome difficulties and bring in happiness, joy and loving and nurturing opportunities in life.

Are there any levels in practicing Reiki?

Yes, there are generally 4 practiced and accepted levels of initiation and healing with Reiki. They are:

• Reiki 1 – This is the initial level. Reiki 1 level healer has the capacity to channel healing to self and others. In our lineage, we also teach Reiki 1 healers to send healing across time and space. 

• Reiki 2 – This is the second level after Reiki 1. At Reiki 2 level, along with Reiki 2 level attunement, the healer is given Reiki symbols which greatly enhances the speed and power of sending healing across time and space. A minimum gap of 21 days is required, after Reiki 1, to become a Reiki 2 healer.

• Reiki 3A – This is the Master-level Healer. At Reiki 3A level, along with Reiki 3A level attunement, the healer is given 3A symbols. 

• Reiki Master – At this level, the Master Healer has the power and knowledge to initiate others to Reiki.

How is Reiki Healing done?

As part of one's daily practice, a Reiki healer places hands on 32 positions on the body for few minutes every day. These positions correspond to the major chakras and organs of the body.

For healing others, the healer can directly place the hands on the area of disease or pain. Alternatively, they may hover the hand a few inches above, without touching it.

Reiki healer can also send distance healing, where the physical presence of the healer is not required. The healer can send healing across time and space, into the past to heal traumas or experiences, to the future events to make them favorable for themselves and others. They can send healing to any country, place, and any part of the world, wherever healing is required.

Can Reiki be given to children?

Reiki is a non-invasive therapy which can be safely given to children, adults, older adults and even pets. Everyone is receptive to Reiki healing.

How can Reiki help me?

No matter where you are in life, you can experience the healing effects of Reiki. Reiki can help in unlimited ways. Listed below are some areas:

• Health benefits – Healthy people can receive healing to become healthier. People with acute illnesses can relieve symptoms and heal quickly. People with chronic illnesses can heal and live a better life. 

In all circumstances, Reiki will help the person receiving healing positively. If someone is undergoing a surgery, Reiki can firstly avert the need for surgery, but if the surgery is unavoidable, healing can be sent to the patient, to the surgeon, to the ancillary staff, and everyone associated with the treatment to work for the highest benefit of the patient.

Reiki as part of postoperative care is also very beneficial. It helps provide a painless transition with no side effects.

• Professional success – One of the best qualities of Reiki is to heal relationships, whether it is personal or professional. One can send healing to their boss, co-workers, clients and everyone associated with their office, business, or work. Reiki will harmonize all of your relationships and if any conflicts arise, they will be amicably resolved in your best interest. 

One can send healing for better opportunities, better pay package, and overall wellbeing and promotions. One can also send healing to their work that the work is error-free and always well-received and appreciated. 

• Marriage and marital life – If one is single, they must send Reiki to meet the best possible life partner. Reiki will heal your karma in a way that you will be able to attract the best possible life partner for yourself. 

If one is married, they can send healing to their marital life and relationship. One can send healing to their husband or wife and also the in-laws, the extended family members, and so on. One can send healing that they are whole-heartedly accepted by the new family and they are valued and loved in their marriage and all relationships are in harmony. 

• Creating Abundance – Reiki is the great leveler. It can heal those areas of one’s life which may be lacking or needs some lifting. Reiki can provide financial abundance and open new opportunities that may have not been possible to access before. It can enhance one’s existing skills and give the power to be the best in one’s field of expertise. With Reiki, one can heal and access financial, mental, social, and spiritual abundance and more.

• Emotional well-being – Reiki is unconditional love energy and healing oneself daily with it increases self-acceptance, self-worth, and love. Reiki gently heals traumas from childhood and pasts, and is a great tool to heal oneself emotionally and become a stable and a happy human being.

Reiki also makes you intuitive and enhances your other capabilities. These are just some ways in which one can reap the benefits of Reiki healing. It is impossible to list down everything here.

If Reiki is Universal energy, why is it not given for free?

Reiki is priceless and it is impossible to compare its value with anything material, but one can pay for the time of the Reiki Master. By paying for the service, there are no karmic dues left between the receiver and the giver. Also, when someone pays for a service, they make space in their aura to receive. The expectations are high and so is the receptivity.
